'The Taste Of The Region' Interpretive Centre is located in the basement of the Kapunda Visitor Information Centre, Thomson Building, Kapunda. This delightful and interesting surprise, will navigate visitors through two rooms of information - the box room and the map room, each containing different themes. From the colourful history, natural vegetation, churches, mining quarries, bridges, early settlement, Ngadjuri country and to the characters who shaped the region and to the present day.
Children and adults alike, love to discover the secrets of the Light region and can often be in the centre for over an hour, amusing themselves with various movies, maps and information.
Free to enter, the interpretive display will help visitors understand the variety in the wonderful Light Region.
A Heritage Trail Map, a walk around the Copper Mining Trail and a visit to the Kapunda Museum will also bring to light, the amazing history of our unique region.
